The Ben Hill United Methodist Church Christian Academy was established in 1973 based on a compelling Christian principle.
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
The Christian Academy continues to be guided by the principle and provides an exemplary, robust educational program that is designed to develop the continuum of skills, behaviors and concepts that children should learn between the ages one through five.
We capitalize on “teachable moments” in our child-centered learning environments. Using the “ learn by doing” academic approach, our children explore and discover in the instructional centers that stimulate their intellectual curiosity and develop their cognitive, communication, gross, and fine motor, and social, and emotional skills.
Our weekly Chapel experiences are age-appropriate to establish a Christian foundation in the child’s life.
Our Primary curriculum is the Abeka curriculum, a Bible based instructional resources. It is supplemented with Creative Curriculum, and other resources.
The Christian Academy is Licensed by Bright from the Start: Georgia Department of early Care and Learning.
